Velogy

Creating a launch website with a leading edge

Overview

Building early market credibility through an elegant website solution

As a newly created business entering a highly competitive European chemicals market, Velogy needed a website that worked hard from day one to establish their credibility with customers, partners, and employees. While signalling a decisive break from category convention, and helping create commercial confidence in a new business.

Built around the central brand idea of Applying Edge (manufacturing excellence delivered with greater pace, sharper commercial focus, and applied innovation). The website positions Velogy as a progressive, ambitious, and commercially focused new force, giving the business a powerful front door to the market from launch.

We delivered:

  • UX and UI design
  • Custom WordPress development
  • Bespoke PubliChem integration for PIM documentation automation
  • Copywriting and image creation
  • Bespoke hosting and CDN implementation
  • Ongoing management and continuous improvement
Design

Using modern digital design to make Velogy impossible to ignore

In a category dominated by technically dense, visually similar websites, the digital experience had to establish Velogy as a credible, commercially-focused new force from the moment it launched.

We unified brand, design, and digital as a single system. Ultraviolet purple, confident typography, dynamic motion, and striking imagery – created specifically for Velogy to give the business complete creative control – combined to create a visual language that is unique in the category. Now, the digital experience communicates exactly who Velogy is: faster, sharper, and forward-looking. A true expression of Applying Edge.

Technology

Rapidly building a flexible,
modular solution

Speed and flexibility was critical. The business was evolving rapidly in parallel with the brand programme, and the digital experience had to keep pace without compromising quality. To help achieve this we used Apollo, our proprietary modular website framework, to rapidly establish the technical foundations of the site. By accelerating the development phase, Apollo enabled us to deliver a custom WordPress website within a significantly compressed timeline, without sacrificing performance, quality or flexibility.

A global CDN (Content Delivery Network) was also implemented to ensure the site performs at optimal speed and reliability across international markets, a critical requirement for a business with global ambitions from day one. Working in close collaboration with Velogy’s marketing team as the business continued to evolve, meant the business could launch with confidence, momentum, and a platform ready to perform.

Integrations

Custom integration with PubliChem to simplify management of product documentation

As a chemicals business, Velogy’s website needed to surface the latest technical product information to satisfy regulatory requirements. To achieve this a bespoke integration between the CMS and Velogy’s PIM platform, PubliChem, was developed. This allows Velogy’s product marketing team to publish new documentation on the website from within PubliChem. Eliminating manual updates and ensuring customers always have access to the latest, approved information from the right source.

Support

Designed for the growth. Supporting the future.

Whilst the main narrative and functionality of the website was focused on the immediate needs of the business. We developed a system that had a wide range of functionality and features that provided the marketing team with an effective and flexible marketing tool for the future.

On this journey of growth, we are actively supporting the Velogy marketing team to develop micro-enhancements to the website and introduce new features as their product marketing needs grow.
